Made specially for those choosing the Satvic philosophy of using only raw natural items on your hair, this herbal powder is made from 15 ingredients that come directly from farms.

Packed with natural vitamins and antioxidants that nourish hair follicles and promote healthy hair growth. Use this once or twice a week for a naturally cooling hair wash.

It not only scrubs your scalp and cleanses your hair but is also healing because of the medicinal ingredients used.

Benefits:

  • Gives a natural fluffy hair softening (different from shampoos)
  • Promotes hair growth & shine
  • Reduces itchiness & flakiness of scalp
  • Removes excess oil from the scalp
  • Reduces hair fall over time
  • Heals scalp rashes
  • For best results, use in combination with our Granny’s champi hair oil

Directions for Use:

Scoop out a spoonful of powder into a cup. Add plain water and make a paste. Wet your hair thoroughly and apply the paste over your scalp & hair. Massage gently and rinse off.

For added fresh goodness, you mix with coconut milk.

What to expect:

  • Take care and don't let the powder get into your eyes when washing. (It will burn but not harm.)
  • Because the product is not slippery like shampoo, you may see more of your broken hair strands in your hands when you wash.
  • If you have very curly & frizzy hair, it might be a bit difficult for you to use the powder.

Storage:

  • Store in a cool, dry place and not in your bathroom. The humidity in the bathroom increases the vulnerability of the product as it contains no preservatives.
  • Use a dry spoon to scoop out the powder into a cup, to use for bathing.
  • Do not use moist or wet fingers to scoop out the powder from inside the jar/packet.

  • Shikakai (ban ritha, seekayi, civakka, cikkai-kayi)

Best before:

Best used within 3 months, though it has a 1-year life.

In case, over time, you find a bug in the jar or it smells / feels stale, discard it in your plants or compost bin.

Packaging:

We send it in a paper packet, so you can empty it into your own jar.

What else to consider:

You should also be ready for the slight hassle of using a shampoo powder. It messes up the bathroom floor and it’s not as convenient as shampoo.

If you want the best of both, check out our Indian Herbs & Clay Shampoo Bar. It’s made from this same herbal powder with added lather and convenience.

Note for people with medical conditions:

People having medical skin & hair conditions should consult a healthcare professional, and should do a test patch of any product before using it.

For others:

If you’re looking for specific improvements or healing of skin & hair issues, natural products typically deliver visible results within approx. 3 months of consistent usage.
